Kendal CC site fishing!
We have booked a long weekend at the Southport CC site in July but are thinking of changing it to Kendal.
Mr B found out there is fishing on site and after being disappointed not to get a few hours in when we stayed at Haltwhistle (strong winds) he is getting excited about the prospect of a fine evening up to his thighs in water - takes all sorts I suppose.
Anyone know what the fishing is like there? The site does look lovely and I can always take my book(s).

Why not send him out SWFFing at Southport? He might bring you a nice Bass for your tea!

Good idea, and if the tide is out it would take home three days for the return journey.

Been to the site a few times and was brought up in the area.
I would defy anyone to stand in that torrent.
The Kent is a very rocky fast flowing river at that point.
The camp site is actually the grounds of a WW1 & 2 explosives manufacturing facility.
Chosen for the abundant supply of Salt Petre and clean water supply.
