A/S Lancashire EK 2013
Having just bought a new Lancashire we were shocked to see a gushing of water coming down over the windscreen when we first moved the
van after it had rained. On further inspection there is a puddle of water gathering in front of the Heiki rooflight and the dark coloured plastic trim that curves down the front of the roof. This area has a seal running across so, there is potential for future water ingress. Marquis advise that it is OK as the van is designed this way, but did ask us to monitor if any water does start to leak in!! (The van is parked level)
Has anyone experienced the same on either a Lancashire or Nuevo low profile?
Kind regards,
Simon60

Perfectly normal and therefore no reason for any concern.

I have an A/S Dorset and the same happens to mine. Its never caused any great problem, the only time its does make a difference is if I get into the van in the dry after some rain the first time I brake the water down the windscreen was a bit off-putting until I got used to it. couple of friends who have high top works vans tell me it happens to them as well.
Not sure on your vehicle type but on mine there is a 'strip' of waterproof sealant that starts at the top of the widescreen and finishes just under the high top trim. At the last habitat check the mechanic suggested I have it replaced as it was starting to lift and the sealant is to stop any water ingress via the top of the windscreen, a normal garage replaced same for few quid.
Having said that it has lasted for 6 years and was only replaced as a precautionary measure.
