Enjoy Belvoir Castle.

My Grandma was "Third Butter Maid" there sometime around the turn of the last century!

At that time the lactic acid found in milk reacted with the lead used in the butter vats to produce a nice toxic product that, luckily, only the rich could afford.

I take great comfort in the knowledge that my Grandma contributed to the general lunacy of the British aristocracy in the early 1900's and thereby started a trait that continues to this day.
