Saying Hello Again - Hello
Thanks Dutto and Stevo for your warm welcome.
You're not a double act by any chance are you? Like Morecambe and Wise?
My wife, Wendy introduced us yesterday using our Ipad, well my Ipad actually, but can never get it out of her hands. Good thing is, the Ipad doesn't like this Forum and apart from saying 'Hello', she wasn't sure what to do next or whether she'd 'got thru' she said.
So just to put a bit of meat on the bones - no, not a retired butcher! - thought I'd share with the forum why we recently bought our Autosleeper.
Wendy said we just had to buy an Autosleeper 'monothingy' 'cos it was totally different to anything we'd had before. I wanted a camper with automatic self-seeking dish on the top. Wendy wanted one with old-fashioned built in crockery. I wanted cab air conditioning and Wendy wanted a built-in toilet roll holder (toilet paper all over the bathroom a no-no in her eyes) I wanted a double bed for Wendy at the back and a double bed at the front for when we fell out and I needed space and room to forgive her. Wendy wanted a large fiddly bed at the back and a tiny cupboard at the front to store bedding in.
We ended up with a Legend because although it didn't actually have the built-in toilet roll holder, it did have the foldaway bathroom sink and completely original crockery that was absolutely at the top of it's class, fashion-wise in 1976.
The Legend we bought is in first class condition, a perfect specimen with only 31500 miles on the clock. We look forward to using it fairly often, want to go to some meets - Up North? Perhaps.
We've been married for a long time and now the kids are grown up. We're happy and live in West Yorkshire.
We look forward to using you members quite a bit and will ask questions if it is ok -
Regards
Pat and Wendy

Re: Hello
Welcome to the forum. There are a few Legends knocking around West Yorkshire, one of the best vans the company have produced.
One owner in particular, only a few miles from you, who I have been trying to get on here for ages now has a wealth of experience with these vans, so come on A, if you are browsing just join

iPad??
Hi there,
Now you have me worried!
Due to relatively small amount of room in a Duetto I was contemplating changing Toshiba Satellite PC for iPad2 as "mainframe" for travel.
I assumed that via Wi-Fi the iPad would do everything that the PC would do. Am I wrong or is the problem "Wendy Based"?
Best regards,
Dutto (only a "double act" with better half Helen - and only then with written permission and three days notice!)

Ipad
Hi Dutto
The Ipad is brilliant, well it's more than that really. Wendy struggled on this new forum and to be honest, I'm also finding it non too easy using my Imac in the other room. I think this might be just a problem between this forum set up and me using Apple gear. Please don't have a go at me - I just wonder if this software is written for Microsoft PC users. I find the Ipod absolutely brilliant when travelling around and have the 3g wifi version. We use it for almost everything. We have the Ipad version 1 and it has a battery life of 10 hours. If you haven't seen the Ipad2 yet, then go into a shop and look at one, but be prepared, you'll want one
regards
Pat n Wendy

Re: Hello
Hi there,
I saw an iPad2 a couple of weeks ago and have been drooling ever since!
I'm sure it will work enough for me to justify buying one so it is top of the list for toys when the Boss asks me what I want for my 200th birthday!!
Best regards,
Dutto
