Are you staying at the caravan club site or one of the privates? We're only a stones throw away from west runton it's been a beautiful day here today and the forecast is for a warm spell coming up from the south, lets hope it stays nice and dry for the P'boro show.....

Well the forecast according to MMM is heat wave by the weekend with temp up to 19. No rain expected in the run up either so a dry show expected. We are not going this year (went to the last two) after last years fiasco but to those that are going, I wish you all a great weekend and hold on to your wallets!

Anyone who missed the show... just to rub it in it was really hot this year... I looked like a Belisha beacon by the time we left!!
Spent the rest of the time at Ferry Meadows under our awning trying to avoid the rays of the sun

How did you like the event ? Did we have an AS group camping?
Would have liked to have gone as its many years since my last visit.

Just to rub it in even harder - there was no contest Peterborough or Malta (trip won by Liz at the January Manchester indoor show)
P/Boro might have been dry but bet it was colder than where we were

Hi Roger , Any more of those free holidays ? We spent some happy years on the island. Well until Mintoff arrived.
Always thought of going back ,but life changes. Maybe next winter.

Warners have just tweeted to say record numbers attended the show this year, probably due to the dire weather last year. The show was good but I always think they could be better, maybe its just me but where are the "Show Offers" Most of the stuff on the stalls I can buy online or locally just as cheap or more often Cheaper and I have to say the range of accessories to purchase is pretty poor for such a big event IMO... Still fun though

Hi Roger,
We also had a Taxi 'hell' Driver from the Airport to our Hotel (in Bugibba) but thankfully a better one on the way back
Learnt on day one, not to travel on the rear seat of a 'Bendy Bus' ...... I'm sure the rear wheels spent most of their time 'flying'
Also 'the little old lady' who I gave up my seat for one day ..... barged me out of way the following day, to get to the front of the bus queue
I can see why the Maltese only have a silent letter "Q"
Brian
