HELLO from sunny Cornwall only joking NO SNOW
Hello campers ..........glad to find this forum site
I have owned Auto Sleepers for a number of years. My latest A/S camper is a 1989 Transit FLAIR.
Having recently moved I am not able to park my camper in my new garage/carport and need to purchase a lower vehicle, preferably the same type and era with pop top. If anyone can help I would be most grateful

Re: HELLO from sunny Cornwall only joking NO SNOW
The VWs tend to be lower than the others and just checking up for you here are some sample heights
Trooper (pop top) two versions 7ft 1in and 6ft 6in
Topaz (with bathroom) 8ft 9in
Trident 8ft 10in
Not sure of your situation but in our tugging days in the NE I lifted the height of the carport for the second van to get it in. It was easy for me as it was on the side
of the garage
Hope this gives you something to mull over

thank you all for welcome
regarding Rogers suggestion I am afraid I live on the ground floor of 7 flats so the only parking I have is a purpose built carport outside my front door built integrally of concrete
I "DOWNSIZED" house now need to "DOWNSIZE" motor home
I can fit a SWB Transit in no prob so looking for an A/S Tranny or Renault Traffic with pop top
I love my high top too Daisy Mae but have to downsize
Perhaps a pop top owner fancies an exchange for a high top low mileage see my avatar
sorry to hear you are all suffering from the

Reciprocation!
Since you kindly posted on my welcome page I feel honour bound to do likewise. Had an issue like yours with house/motor home parking. Bought a pop top (non AS......which was a mistake in itself)
After 18 months, we eventually admitted defeat, moved house again and went back to a proper sized van!
If it is of any help, I definitely wouldn't buy another Devon Conversion pop top!
Hope you get fixed up.
Mick
