May I introduce myself to the Forum? I'm from Wales (who'd have guessed from the username?) and have owned a 1998 A/S Clubman GL from new in 1998. It's on the VW chasis, with the 2.5 litre 5-cylinder TDI engine. Has done 58K, and we've been in it to Scandinavia several times, and the usual Mediterranean countries. Bought and maintained by Cotswold Motorhomes of Gloucester.

Before that, our first motorhome was an A/S VHT (again based on the VW Transporter). That served us very well for 10 years, but after the children had grown up, a 2-berth was ideal. When they occasionally came with us in the Clubman, they had to bring a tent!

Just back from 4 weeks in Germany. Excellent holiday. German Tourist Board's free booklet of campsites was very useful (especially as it gave GPS co-ordinates for all sites).
