Re: bad spelling
I'm sorry if I can't! Sometimes it's me but sometimes it is the spell checker's fault. ( I always blame the tools) I love this I Pad but it does ridiculous things where word processing is concerned . I would hate to use it to write a report or anything official but it's great for everything else!

Andy,
I complement you on your contribution as I think it compliments the very essence of this Thread.
Best regards,

Re: bad spelling
Shame the forum doesn't have it's own spell checker... but those using Firefox as their browser only have to go to Tools followed by Options, then Advanced and tick the box where is says Check my spelling as I type and save.... then when you type a post if it contains spelling errors it will be underlined in red, you then highlight the incorrect spelling text and you will be given the option to select the correctly spelt version of the word.
Most of you will know this but might help someone so worth posting
I all so haate baddley speltt rightiing

Re: bad spelling
The only problem with spell checker is that it throws up American spelling for example Neighbour comes out as Neighbor

Hi Tommy....
You have a point.... but I'd sooner read "Americanism" than posts with atrocious spelling
Not a brill speller myself before anyone takes offence
You can add an English dictionary to the Firefox spell checker here
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/

Americanism is all about atrocious spelling usually caused by "dumbing down" for a people too lazy to learn; and I would sooner read a genuine mistake in ordinary English.
Many, many years ago I was watching a TV Game Show in the USA at 2am (jet lag) and the final question for a new Cadillac like a tennis court on four wheels and $50,000 in cash was:
Complete the following well known saying:
All the (6 letter word) of the (7 letter word).
Jet lagged as I was I just couldn't figure it out but when I saw the answer I thought " Americans!" and went to sleep!
Best regards,
Ian

Bad spelling
Hi All,
Not only bad spelling but bad grammar as well, some people obviously do not bother to recheck it after typing.
