Thetford fridge advise please
Being a bit of a novice, I am preparing for our first outing tomorrow. All seems well with our Nuevo EXCEPT the fridge which I have turned on using mains supply, the display seems all correct but its not working ! There is no noise whatsoever to suggest that it has started cooling. The wine is getting warm so am I doing it all wrong ? Any advise please.

Thetford fridge
Hi John,
Absorption fridges as fitted to most MHs do not make any noise the only way to check if they are working is to feel the exhaust outside the van a few minuites after switching on and it should be warm. Yours does not appear to be working and I would suspect that it is not absolutely level there was quite a disscusion on the forum about Thetford fridges some weeks ago. Type Thetford fridge into the search box top right of the forum page and that should bring the subject up.

Hi there,
Check out the Factsheets section of the Forum for absorption fridges.
They can be temperamental when not on a level surface but they tend to last for years and years!!
Best regards,

Thanks to you all, my Nuevo is parked on a slight slope in the drive so hopefully thats the reason. We are off tomorrow to sunny Scarborough for two nights so we can try it there. Watch this space.
