Drive away awning vs day shelter
I am looking for advise on whether to go for a drive away awning or a separate day shelter to store chairs, table, BBQ etc when leaving the site for the day.
Obviously space in the Duo is limited so it would also need to be reasonably compact.
Any pictures of various setups would be helpful.
TIA

You posted a similar thread yesterday.
Why not opt or a simple pop-up tent which will be compact when folded and avoid the necessity of precise lining up to connect van and awning? The choice is yours.
Btw, how on earth do you store table, chairs and bbq in a Duo? We carried chairs on the bike rack but never attempted to carry a table or bbq.

Tim,
I too was thinking of carrying the chairs on the bike rack. The BBQ is actually a Cadac 2 cook pro 3 which fits nicely under the seat and the table is a folding camping table.

There you go. A protective bag from eBay and a couple of straps to secure them. The cross bars of the bike rack have been removed.

We have a Maypole bike storage tent which folds up very small, costs about £65 and holds two bikes, chairs and table. Takes ten minutes to erect.
Used to use a Kyham day shelter, about 2m square but it was too bulky and heavy.
