I noticed that in the USA they often use smooth peanut butter for all exterior auto plastic parts.  I assume the oil in the product does the work.  Bill

I am not sure if it’s the same trim but the trim were the panels join on our Rienza had gone grey. I found some cleaner in the cleaning cupboard in the house called “Pink Stuff”. I gently rubbed it on the trim with a damp J cloth and rinsed off. To my surprise it worked well.

I’ve tried different things, most of them were only temporary, like back to black and other oily substances. These only lasted a few months and the light grey streaks came back. I decided to paint them with a bumper paint, there are several on the market but I used Monstercolors Spray Paint Matt Finish Anthracite Grey. The other option is Autotek Bumper and Trim Spray Paint, they do a dark grey. If you are going to paint the trim make sure they are clean and oil free, use something like Prep Panel Wipe Alcohol Paint Cleaner. I also painted to other plastic parts on the sides to match the vent grills.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
