Hi from Burnley
HI everyone, Getting my Autosleeper later this week, but glad to have found this forum for friends, help and advice.
PS Can anyone explain why it is called a fiat talbot... I thought it had to be either a fiat or a talbot?

Re: Hi from Burnley
Its either a Fiat or a Talbot badged chassis.
The company that made yours and makes current range is a consortium of Fiat and Pugeot Citroen (Sevil - never sure on spelling)
If the van is an Auto Sleeper it is almost certainly a Talbot Express and probably either a Talisman, Executive, Harmony, Symphony Conversion.
The base vehicles prior to conversion to motorhomes look the same and the generation you are buying probably had a different engine to the Fiat Ducato 1 version, but most others things are probably the same.
Other manufacturers did use the Fiat chassis in that era
The model that replaced yours known as the Pugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato, Citroen Relay. The current current models are known as X250s in all brands
Hope all goes well with the purchase and dont be frightened of asking how things work when you pick it up. Some people are better than others at handovers.

Hello, and welcome East Yorkshire
As for your question about Fiat / Talbot
I think Fiat are the makers, Talbot if just the model Nothing to do with the now defunct car maker Talbot which again I think is actually owned by Peugeot .

Welcome from an overcast North Wales Is it the logbook that describes it as a Fiat Talbot?
