leaking mono tap on wash basin
Hi, has anyone any experience of fixing a leaking mono tap on the wash basin please? I have tried to dismantle the top componants, but cant get it all to pieces. The delivery spout ensemble is loose and is leaking at both joints. any helpful tips would be much appreciated. many thanks Rick.

Re: leaking mono tap on wash basin
Not immediately obvious, on our Warwick Duo, we had just that!
The leakage, unless you have a faulty tap, is the water between the taps and the spout nozzle.
Where that screws in isn't obvious, but the smooth ring below the spout unscrews we used water pump pliers protected by tape. When that is undone, the whole nozzle, spout will lift away. On this sub assembly, look under it, is an o ring, almost certainly the culprit.
Replaced ours, problem solved! This of course assumes your tap is same as ours!

Glad it worked
In our case it was leaking down the back of the tip up sink and into the cavity of the toilet compt wall, which would have been disastrous had Mrs H not spotted it.
