Hi, and apologies for the delay in the introduction.

Anyway we're expats in Galicia, Spain and came over here some years ago with the Clubman which we didn't use much for a few years.Though things are currently up in the air because of the necessary restrictions,we're hoping to spend a lot more time using it now. Maybe.
Meanwhile, over the last few years I've learned more than I expected about the workings of the habitation 'features' and also trying to keep the VW T4 2.5tdi out of the local rip-off garages. Happy to share what I've picked up if it helps anyone. Unsurprisingly the last project was adding solar as we reckon we'll be spending less time on campsites.

Hi all

Thanks to everyone for their kind welcome words.

We are Chander (myself), Dianne (my luvverly wife) and Cosmo (dreaded Bleu de Gascoigne hound beast).

Clubman hasn't got a name as most of what I've called it hasn't been very complimentary. Though to be fair, the Sussex dealers we bought it from - beginning with M - probably deserve most of the abuse).

Anyway over the last four or five years I've sorted (in no particular order):

- water pump
- fridge door
- cooker knobs
- new loo seat and cassette
- repaired water level sender in tank
- tank filler on vehicle side
- ehu connector on vehicle side
- serviced cascade II water heater (fully dismantled) hose connector failure &
- serviced cascade II water heater (fully dismantled) element bolt failure - thanks Gary
- isolator tap for cascade II so can empty for travelling (good idea as full tank is 20lb of water sloshing about)
- new speedometer
- removed egr (off-road-use-only of course)
- new suspension components
- new front brake discs
- replaced gear-lever bushings
- seat-safe under driver
- replaced ZIG charger with 3-stage charger
- reversing camera
- replaced cracked sliding window unit (horrible job)
- stopped leaks on nearside of vehicle
- chipped/remapped ECU to 139bhp
- s/steel exhaust components
- 120W solar panel within roof-bars
- 375W inverter/controller - fitted so not apparent inside habitation (wiring in wardrobe)

I'm sure there's more but there's always something that needs sorting, even if it's only to stop wasps building a home in the passenger door.

Think I'll document the PV addition if I can find a suitable topic to tack it onto the end of.
