2013 Kingham BBQ point

The BBQ point on my 2013 Kingham as on first glance a red knob on it , which doesn't turn , is this a safety slave , and you have to connect a special tap to turn the gas on ?

Yes, you need a brass quick release connector on the end of your LPG tubing. The valve will only open when this is pushed into it.
