Hello
Dago & Mr's D, here.
Currently we have a 2005 Symbol, but just about to change up to a 2007 Executive. Slight delay with DVLA as I have a personal registration, which is taking them a wee time in sorting out the paperwork stuff.
Congrats to our mate 'Dandy' for pointing me to this site.
We are based in Eastbourne, Sussex and are also members of MHF & BongoFury, as I also have an AFT Bongo
We do some Rallies with both Groups which are good fun.
And we also belong to both the main Clubs as we like to use their CL's & CS's as well as the main sites when the wind chill arrives.

Hi Welcome to the Forum Dago and Mrs D
I used to pop on Bongo Fury a few years back when considering what campervan to buy - They seem a real friendly lot on there - I still occasionally go back on to pinch a few ideas - Lucky you having the choice !
Cheers
Stevo

Hi Stevo,
Yes the Bongo Mob are a Crazy bunch Even though we go to their events in our Symbol, I still love to drive the Bongo.
One day sense will rule the heart & I will have to sell my beloved Monty, but in a household full of girls it's difficult.
Boys : Me & Monty
Girls: Jean, Molly the Cat, Hilda Symbol & soon to be Nancy Executive
The fact that our kids are all boys (but left home and in their mid twenties & mid thirties) has no bearing on the subject
See once a BongoFury Member -Always a nutter
probably going to be blackballed now

Re: Hello from Dago & Mrs D
Nowt wrong with Bongos (and Fredas) Dago - We were within an inch of getting one a few years ago - We even went Wellhouse Leisure to see one being converted - But at the end of the day the lure of VW was too strong and we got our Trident.
When I had to change my work car I was trying to persuade my wife to get a tin top Bongo (for the room) but she put her foot down at another "truck" in the drive

Re: Hello from Dago & Mrs D
Back in 2005 Stevo, I lost the sight in my left eye and was on 3 weeks rest from my business.
We spent the last week down in Dorset camping. A Dutch family turned up in a Nissan with an elevating roof and being all over 7ft tall, were amazed how they fitted into such a small campervan.
1 month later I bought a Bongo AFT as away of a life changing act.
This has lead us both down the black path of motorhoming, to the point where we are now about to enjoy the move up to the Executive!
However, ( isn't there always an "however") :D Mr's D keeps on at me for not selling Monty. But it is just a great driving machine.
Although we never use the habitaion part now. I really must sell Monty on, but it hold so much that has changed my life since 2005, it will be a real wrench when it goes.
Not so long ago I once had 5 sailing dinghies, so having 2 motorhomes is nothing
For everyday use I must say, if they did a bongo with a front engine, so that you could walk from the drivers seat into the rear lounge, then it would be a real winner for a campervan under 5m
Still we are here to discuss all things Auto Sleeper, so life moves on
Keep on Trucking
