Auto Sleeper Kingham
We have had to have the microwave housing replaced twice in our Kingham due to the lower joints coming apart, has anyone else had similar experience?

Re: Auto Sleeper Kingham
I have just taken our Kingham to the dealer with the same issue. Autosleeper told the dealer to fix additional screws in the unit but I demanded that they replace the damaged panels. They have removed the microwave and I will take back when the panels arrive, which they are quoting 3/4 weeks. Dealer also stated something about strengthening the units to allow it to support the microwave better. We have only 1000 miles in the clock, disappointed is an understatement.

Yes it would appear to be a problem AutoSleeper is choosing to ignore at present. We have asked our dealer to press for some feedback and are going back in 2 weeks to have other minor niggles sorted and hope to have a response then. It looks like others have chosen to have the microwave removed altogether but we find ours quite useful.

They have been building the Kingham since 2014, I would like to think that they will have a resolution soon, though they did say that they were going to fit "something " to solve the problem. What other niggles are you having. Got to say still a fantastic van:smile!:

We are having to have the front rooflight blind replaced and also the shower tap as both were faulty from new. We have had a couple of issues with the toilet but that is Dometic issue. We are yet to find out about the recent recall, apparently for fridge vents?
Otherwise we love it, the layout is ideal and especially love the side sliding door, my wife has converted two fly screens to fit in the space and will be putting to the test over the summer.

I'd be interested in more details and pics of that mod if possible. It's something I'd like for mineTrendytrev wrote:........ my wife has converted two fly screens to fit in the space and will be putting to the test over the summer.

The same happened in my stratford. I spotted it before the microwave fell onto sink top. On my Kingham I took the microwave out and fitted brackets to the inside. I keep a very close eye on it especially driving over bumpy roads. I never use the microwave anyway and I bang my head on it daily. It's still the best campervan on the market by far.

Hi, I've just fitted one of these flysceens to our Kingham and it's excellent. Just Velcro and pop studs.

That looks good. Does it fold up or sideways when not needed, or do you have to remove it entirely ?

I've left it on all the time. You can still see out but have a little more privacy from outside. He door part can be folded back against the cab door and has a magnet to hold it there.
