hello I'm new
im debbie and I'm new to the forum in fact so new i haven't even got an auto sleeper yet but i assure you all i am going at it like a dog at a bone - scouring adverts daily - so it will only be a matter of time . my current van was bought on impulse (after typing "camper shoes" into into ebay i saw a camper van and bingo! by the morning - to my husbands horror - it was mine0 I'm an artist so use it as a studio as well as a mobile 'home from home' - look forward to getting to know you all and telling you what van i have acquired - hopefully in a slightly more sensible fashion than last time!

Hi Debbie
Welcome to ASOF.
We used to have an artist in the RTMR who had a Rimini, he said it was the ideal van as he used to fold one side of the pop-up roof down and could get a clear view of what he wanted to draw / paint while being in the relative comfort of the van.
I suppose a lot depends on what your subject is though
Frank

Re: hello I'm new
Hi Debbie. Welcome to the ASOF from someone who was born and brought up in Walsall. Good luck with your search. I was trying to think of places you might try for a MH around the Walsall/West Mids. Have you visited Hayes at Darlaston? I haven't been there for quite a while but they always used to have a good selectio of new and pre-owned MHs. They were, I believe at one time, an approved A/S dealer. A bit further afield I know but you may want to contact Brownhills at Newark. Hope you find a motor that meets all of your needs.

Re: hello I'm new
Welcome from a warm and sunny Alicante.
"Petal" was an impulse buy - and we haven't regretted a second of our time with her.
Having said that, we were looking for a Duetto and, like the Princess in the fairy tale, we had seen a lot of frogs before we saw "Petal" and bought her on the spot.
My advice is check out all the models, take a good look at your budget and then go searching for what you want. It's a lovely feeling when you see what you want at the price you have in mind and it has a "For Sale" sign on it.
(The reason "Petal" was an "impulse buy" was that, at the time, we were only "looking" as we didn't actually have the money to hand. So we slapped down a deposit and picked her up a month later when the money arrived!)
Enjoy.
Best regards,
